This entry demonstrates a 3D printed Da Vinci gear design using FDM (Full Deposition Modeling) method and PLA material in three colors - Bronze, Black, and Grey. The design process involved creating a model that doesn't require support or post-processing, with all parts being 3D printable and no need for additional components like screws and nuts for assembly. A printer parameter PDF file is provided. FDM was chosen due to its cost-effectiveness and ease of use. The resulting 3D printed model is robust, shiny, and colorful, with good final printing quality. Photos in the gallery show the printed design, while a video demonstrates its functionality. Design inspiration was drawn from the V&A Museum's Da Vinci drawing and Leonardodavincisinventions.com's perpetual motion machines image.
