Da Vinci Filament Guide

I found a creative way to attach 3rd party spools to my Da Vinci Duo by implementing ideas I discovered here. I printed this one: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:433194/#files I created these guides to assist in guiding the filament around the printer and through the back cover crack, although some pictures may be slightly distorted due to being taken with my phone. Instructions First, print the spool holder from here:http://www.thingaverse.com/thine/43294 Next, print both guides in this thing using a layer height of .4 and 30% infill for a sturdy build. I used 50% infill on the spool holder. After that, I needed to clean up the guide holes with a 1/4" drill bit. To continue, pick up some affordable tubing from Lowe's made by Watts. The product codes are: 443061, LSPEB25, and 42141208, with specifications of 1/4" OD / .170" ID (8mm OD / 5mm ID) polyethylene tubing, available for approximately $3.99 per 25 feet. To complete the modification, use double-sided tape from 3M to mount the guides. For best results, attach one side guide on the case side, printing two guides is suggested for Duo users. The rear guide should be fitted just below the original guide tubes, utilizing slots for easy installation. Install this piece from the outside back cover, using double-sided adhesive from behind the machine without attaching it inside. This assembly includes a gap and has 2 cylindrical holes extending into the printer case interior, in addition to two pre-drilled cylinders which reach through a crack between them. The pictures may seem a bit skewed due to image distortions but this system does work beautifully. Leave the existing spools on; they can still be kept there. A section of tubing must be removed and linked between both guides, providing a flexible passage allowing for continuous threading throughout both sections, as seen in this final illustration where I kept some white string passing through my normal guide while assembling all of it with a fun end!
