Summary Donate to jeeplvr2000@yahoo.com via PayPal and I'll keep designing new prints. You can adapt a complete MK8 extruder and hot end into the Da Vinci 1 3D printer using this design, but you'll need fully machined hardened X-axis shafts if you use linear roller steel bearings instead of the original brass Davinci bearings. UPDATE: As of 3/26/16, you can glue the belt grip in place with acetone when printing with ABS. I've added three screws to secure the belt. I've also included a carriage STL for using the original Da Vinci bushings, which I added on 4/24/15. Downloads after 3/24/15 at 7:15 pst will have an updated carriage that improves heater clearance. The hot end can be rotated in any direction to clear the carriage. Most MK8 hotends have a protective barrier around the heater block as well. Instructions: Rotate the heater block 90 degrees for better carriage clearance. The round bearing hole is 15.4mm, and the half bearing hole is 15.2mm, which allows for a better fitment of 15mm linear bearings.
