This is a custom funnel designed for: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:634403 It efficiently directs airflow at the nozzle, reducing its reliance on the bed for cooling. Previous issues with over-cooled beds resulted in firmware errors or printer shutdowns. I now successfully print PLA using this fan/funnel combination. However, I have encountered mixed results working with ABS, despite seeing significant improvement in removing bumps. Overcooling appears to be a major issue, leading to weak layer adhesion and splitting. I'm experimenting with adding a potentiometer to achieve optimal airflow for ABS printing. This custom funnel requires careful handling due to its size, which can lead to fitting difficulties. Nevertheless, it provides effective airflow management once properly installed. To facilitate fitting, you may need to sand or file the edges slightly to secure it snugly up against the base of the fan mount.
