UPDATE: 03/09/2017 I caught up with last night's news that the E3D mount creator had revised his design to better direct air away from the print bed. To stay on top of things, I've updated both the Base and backing plate to incorporate his revised design. I've also made overhauls to the backing plate and layer cooling fan shroud to make it easier to secure the shroud to the backing plate for simpler removal when the layer cooling fan isn't needed. The new files all end in V2. Here's my remix of the upgrades I liked from my E3D v6 conversion. I've integrated cable chain mounts and a guide for PTFE tubing. I've also added a fan duct and fan cover to repurpose the stock fan for layer cooling. Cable chain mount now uses heat sets instead of nut inserts. I used 21 links and the end mount of the 10x15 cable chain. I've created a second version of this fan duct that should eliminate the need to feed the belt through it and provide additional print bed clearance (the first version hits the mount screws in the four corners of my print bed). I haven't tested this in my printer yet. Check out the original builds for further installation notes.
