The two part symmetric hoods for these D- series https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-subminiature connectors have been quite familiar to me but the A-series DA-15 are kind of uncommon, so I hacked Mikitka "DB-9" (actually DE-9) connector. I added two holes so you can use a small zip tie and whatever you want to make some strain relief if needed. This is not for the DE-15 "VGA" connector, you should be using the "DB-9" or more correctly the DE-9 hood. The DA-15 connector is used for the old: - Macintosh Video - DECstation Video - Ethernet AUI (Attachment Unit Interface) - PC Analog game/Joystick port and probably more, but these are the most common. BTW, the standard screws are #4-40 or national coarse thread. The nut with a threaded bolt sticking out the other end is called a screw lock. Now finding a screw that won't fall out is the challenge as these were very specialized screws...
