D5S Dial Indicator Mount
thingiverse
First off, some warnings: due to limited space on the D5S, don't use this mount with the dial indicator in place under power; if you were to home the printer, the dial indicator would hit before the Y limit switch is tripped. I use this powered off, moving the head slowly as not to generate feedback from the motor to the board and avoid damage. Use at your own risk. The mount fits on the head where second fan mount holes are located; a typical 8mm stem dial gauge will fit fine. There are two versions available: one with thumbscrew version designed for computer thumbscrews to clamp and thumbscrew screws into brass motherboard standoff that I cut thread off and filed smooth, and another with simple version for M3 or equivalent bolt use. The choice is yours. I printed this on my Wanhao D5S Mini using the following settings: 50% infill, two outer shells of 0.4mm, no supports, 0.2mm layer height, Simplify3D custom settings; time to print, thirty-two minutes.
