D3D (Dglass 3D) hotend fan shroud
thingiverse
Uploaded a v4 of the fan shroud design - it's probably not printable on an FDM printer while keeping it structurally safe, possibly with soluble support. Works fine on SLA printers though. The original D3D auto-lift hotend fan shroud was prone to breaking and got replaced by a new design from the hotend authors. However, both designs suffer from the same issue as early E3D fan shrouds - they're printed in the wrong orientation, so they tend to loosen up or delaminate after a while or even when getting it onto the hotend heat sink. I've designed my own more similar to the first D3D design than the second one, but meant to be printed 90 degrees rotated so layers don't separate under stress of the heat sink clamp. Made several tiny tweaks all over the place. It mounts easily, clamps well with no rattle or vibration and fan screw holes work without tapping.
