Decided to make my nephew, a hardcore gamer, a custom 21-sided die for his 21st birthday milestone. Turned out there wasn't such a thing on the market, so after some digging, I realized I had to conceptualize, design, test, and print it myself from scratch. Having an odd number of sides posed a problem - it lands edge-up. To determine which side of the edge is the result, I added a ridge along the top of each face. The side with the line on it indicates the rolled outcome. With proper rolling techniques, this die should roll close to fairly if not perfectly accurately. Further testing is needed to confirm its fairness. To ensure the weight feels just right, I printed it at 100% infill without any support material required. This custom die makes a perfect addition for a "not quite +1" sword in any fantasy game.
