D20 - folding, snap-together game die
prusaprinters
Oversized twenty sided die that you fold up to assemble - it snaps together. This has 2 great advantages - that first smooth layer is all over the die surface and you can change filament colour for contrast numbering.Print instructionsNo supports. Switch filament color after the first 0.6mm - Die faces should be still separate at this point. Layer height doesn't really matter for final result, only thing that matters is to have a nice first layer. Assembly instructionsIf you want the die as an ornament, just fold it up - first roll into a barrel shape and then close the 5 faces on ends together like a sandworm maw. If you want to use it as a game die, you need to apply glue before folding the die, otherwise the die would unfold from large impacts. I recommend to use universal glue with longer drying time and apply it on every peg and every hole beforehand. Then fold it up and hold it tight with rubber bands or tape for a while. If you want to use superglue, you will have to move in shorter stages so it doesn't dry up before folding.Updates2024-05-21: License changed to CC0.LinksHere are some other tabletop RPG related prints from me that might be of interest:DM Screen Initiative TrackersTabletop RPG Proxy Minis
