As a DM you should generally let the dice do all the deciding, but from time to time a player has a rough time and you want to give them a not so subtle hand. Print this out, hand it to them and success is guaranteed. Is the size of a standard d20 by default. Supports are needed by default because it is standing on the tip. This is so all the surfaces are about the same in texture. If you have a really good bed you should be able to rotate it to a side an print without supports.
