D20

D20

I wanted to create a d20 that would meet certain criteria: it had to have fancy text that was still easy to read, it had to be able to print without supports, and it had to be moderately fair. The dice is beautiful and prints well without supports, but I recommend scaling it up for the numbers to come out nicely. Unless you have an expensive printer, I would suggest printing this 2.5x scale or higher - the larger die will be fantastic for those critical saving throws! D20 1.0 and 1.1 have rounded edges compared to the hard edges on 2.0 and 2.1. D20 1.1 and 2.1 have deeper etchings than 1.0 and 2.0. The font I selected is Microsoft's French Script, although I don't like one thing about this font - the 7 looks like an upside-down 2. The letters are intentionally shallow to minimize impact on weight distribution. The numbering on the dice isn't standard; it's taken from The Dice Lab, who apparently found the mathematically perfect number scheme. https://www.mathartfun.com/thedicelab/BalancedStdPoly.html I don't currently plan to release any sets inspired by this. In my opinion, you only need a single quality d20 and a handful of the rest! If the die is popular, I'll consider suggestions. Big thanks to Ejectkid and Zachrywd for their amazing makes, and allowing me to use their photos. I hope you like it!
