Photogrammetric experts have carefully reconstructed an extraordinary treasure found in our planet's deepest ocean waters. Located approximately 30 miles offshore from Carmel, California, and nearly 1200 meters deep, lies a massive rock covered with various sponge species and vibrant Bubble Gum coral. A second survey of this remarkable rock has been conducted, following the initial investigation in 2017, which reveals that the incredible coral and sponge colonies inhabiting this 25-meter-long rock are thriving remarkably well. For comparison, the camera tripod situated off one side of the rock stands approximately 3 meters tall.
