D1 Shepherd's Whistle

D1 Shepherd's Whistle

After printing mrAkuaku's shepherd whistle, I decided to take on the challenge of designing my own. The result is loosely based on the Logan A1 whistle, but with modifications tailored to suit my needs and design requirements. There are two files available: "Logan A1 inspired v3.1" and "Logan A1v2". Both designs are precision-crafted for optimal performance. The "Logan A1 inspired v3.1" file features a 5mm thickness with a 2.5mm gap between the two plates, resulting in a whistle that fits snugly in the mouth and produces a crisp, responsive sound. In contrast, the "Logan A1v2" file boasts a 6mm thickness with a 2mm gap between the two plates. While it still produces a clear sound, I found that v3.1 outperforms it in terms of responsiveness and overall quality. Both whistles are capable of producing a loud, wide range of pitches - from low to high. To achieve optimal results, print the whistle with the long flat side facing down on the platform, just like in the provided photos.
