D1 Mini Case - WLED
thingiverse
I've made a case for my D1 - mini That I use to control a couple of strings of addressable LEDs (WS2812B) that I put on my Christmas tree. It will work just as well for any other project. The top is simply friction fit, using the layer lines of the print to hold it together. **Parts Used** [5.5MM x 2.1MM 10Pack Male DC Power socket](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078W4BZPK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) [Grommet 6.5mm panel hole diameter fits best (I used this one but the actual hole size is 8mm)](https://www.amazon.co.uk/FIXMAN-255645-Rubber-Grommets-35pce/dp/B01MA6T2HD?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_4) WS2812B LED's - I've got some [these LEDs on the way](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32707248386.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.4a984c4dM4kVWa), which look just the job... (I'm using [these](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DC0ITX4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) currently, which are great, but my wife didn't like the black wire.) If you want more than a couple of strings of 50 LEDs, you'll need to inject power every couple of strings. I suggest getting some [5.5 mm x 2.1 mm DC Power Splitter Cable](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077TN63TZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) [5.5mm x 2.1mm DC Power Connector Male Female Screw Terminal Connector](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07RHM5KCW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
