D-Shaft Stove Knob
thingiverse
I was driven to create my own stove knobs after being shocked by exorbitant prices in the store. This DIY project turned out to be a fantastic opportunity for me to hone my 3D design skills. Designed to fit many electric stoves on the market, this knob is versatile and adaptable; my Wards (vintage) model is one example, but it's based on a standard 1/4" D-shaft that can accommodate various brands. Throughout my design process, I refined several iterations, ultimately deciding to use the "Knob only lg hole" and the "Knob skirt" for the knob showcased in the photo. Several stoves that utilize an 8-position knob for burner control can easily incorporate these custom knobs. For those who want to customize their designs, I've included the 123D design file. Additionally, there's a matching oven control knob skirt available to complement the burner knobs. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to create an oven temp knob.
