Pikel's a dwarven druid and a playable character in Ludia's "Warriors of Waterdeep" game on Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ludia.dnd. He was created by R.A. Salvatore. I designed four different armor sets for him, each one crafted from scratch: Zbrush sculpting, low-poly modeling, baking, and texturing. Each armor piece has around 4500 triangles and uses three 256x256 textures per body part - a normal map, a diffuse color map, and a specular map incorporated as a black-and-white alpha channel within the diffuse map. The colors for the specular map are pulled from the diffuse map. The renders were taken directly from 3ds Max's viewport with basic three-point lighting. I posed Pikel, while Frédérick Lalongé handled rigging and skinning.
