D&D Magnetic Figurine/Miniature Case
thingiverse
I crafted this enclosure to safeguard my D&D miniature while traveling without worrying about it getting severely damaged. To ensure the case remained shut, I embedded magnets into the corners. This custom-made box functions admirably, albeit with smaller magnets that aren't incredibly potent. The magnets hold the case securely enough to prevent it from opening during transit in a packed bag, but it might get dislodged if placed in a bag containing loose, heavy items moving freely around. The magnets used measure 4mm x 1mm. A suitable example can be found on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Magnets-Refrigertor-Whiteboard-Durable-Multi-Use/dp/B07C8ZZ2K9/ref=sr_1_2 To attach the magnets, I employed Loctite Super Glue Ultragel Control. Any superglue would likely work just as well; however, be certain to allow it time to set before closing the case. I also utilized foam leftover from packing materials to secure the miniature in place within the enclosure. The foam was cut a little too large, so I didn't need to use any additional adhesive.
