D&D Life Counter
thingiverse
I created a unique Life Counter by combining elements from various models and adding my own modifications. After searching for a life counter that met my preferences, I decided to take inspiration from several other designs and create something entirely new. The primary influence was the model designed by CarryTheWhat, but I disliked how the numbers moved freely in his design due to the pin. In contrast, Sibanamush's wheel design clicked slightly as it rotated and locked into place much better, so I incorporated that feature into my creation. Additionally, I wanted a Dungeons and Dragons logo on the side of the counter, which led to this final result. As of November 2017, I have uploaded end pieces that can be used for a three-number life counter. Please note that these end pieces are untested. If you want to create a three-digit life counter, print Right_Side_Long and Left_Side_Long along with three number circles of your choice. If the longer pieces do not work as intended, please let me know through comments or private message so I can make further adjustments. Print Settings: * Printer: Monoprice Maker Select v2 * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Resolution: 0.1mm * Infill: 20% Notes: Not all STL files are necessary to assemble the full model. There are two options for end pieces and two options for number wheels. The only difference between the two sets of end pieces is that one set features a D&D logo, while the other version is blank. If you print the one with the logo, it's recommended to print the first layer slowly with good bed adhesion; I printed it at 25mm/s. Speed shouldn't be an issue for the blank version. There are two types of number wheels available: Option 1 and Option 2. For Option 1, print both Numbers_Option1A and Numbers_Option1B. For Option 2, print two copies of Numbers_Option2. I made minimal modifications to the wheels from other models, except for thickening the inner lines due to reports that they were too thin to print. I can confirm that the inside lines will print with a standard 0.4mm nozzle and line widths of 0.4mm.
