D&D Flight/Climbing Stand
thingiverse
I'm adding another flight stand to this site because I couldn't find one that really caught my eye. The design of this stand is similar to one I bought before, but hopefully it's less fragile or at least easier to replace. To print each stand, you'll need two bases and a connector of your choice. I've noticed some variation in the fit from run-to-run - some stands fit snugly and can be picked up and moved around with just a press fit, while others are looser and may require a drop of glue. My current campaign is still at a relatively low level, and we tend to climb trees more often than fly, so I created stems for both. The cloud stem uses a modified version of a vector file from GuruGrendo on DeviantArt, which can be found here: https://gurugrendo.deviantart.com/art/Cloud-3-Vector-259542694. The tree stems use modified versions of vectors from BonesWolbach on DeviantArt, which can be found here: https://boneswolbach.deviantart.com/art/Trees-Bushes-and-Such-412154346. .FCStd (FreeCAD) files are included for the base and basic stem, but the tree/pine tree/cloud stems are a bit of a mess. If you want to make something compatible, the tab on the bottom and top of the stems is 4.5mm wide, 2.5mm thick, and 6mm tall, with a hole in the base that's 5mm x 3mm. The base can hold a roughly 1" diameter mini.
