D&D Female Cleric
thingiverse
Shad Brooks, aka Shadiversity, shared a Cleric drawing that caught my eye. I was compelled to attempt a 3D model of it and here she is. I used Desktop Hero to get the base pose, then modified it in MeshMixer as needed. Next, I focused on her weapon, which has a pretty cool design. To make it print well, I made some concessions and didn't match it exactly - blunt weapons print better than sharp ones. I tried printing sharper versions but they looked horrible after slicing. I custom sculpted her hood/mantel outfit to match the drawing in MeshMixer. I built her belt one bead at a time, then drew two versions of the Gothic Cross and extruded them into 3D models - one for the hanging on her belt and a thicker one for her armor elbows and knees. I brought the hanging cloth down to floor level to aid printing and placed a filler piece between the hanging bits to add strength. I used 3D Builder to build her knee armor, elbow armor, forearm armor, and armor wraps (on her legs). I sculpted base boots that were pointier than usual, then used 3D Builder to build all of the armor pieces and added them to the boots. To make printing easier for those who like to print models on their back, I made an octagon base. To allow more size for model detail when printing, I thinned it out a bit. The model is uploaded at 40mm and she looks great there - pretty amazing in 80mm as shown in the photos. I also included her weapon since it's pretty cool and maybe you'll want to mix it with other models.
