I was working on a couple of general-purpose tin inserts and thought it might be cool to make one for a specific purpose, so I designed one up for a set of seven “standard” TTRPG dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100).

Even though this was inspired by my original Tin Inserts, I modeled this one completely from scratch, not that it is too difficult to place a bunch of cylinders.

Directions

Purchase/source your tins before you start. Not every 4-oz tin is identical.

Using calipers, measure the interior diameter of the tin at the narrowest part (this should be the top of the jar)

Measure the internal depth of the tin

Use Prusa Slicer to scale the design to fit your exact tin.

After checking the fit, use a piece of double-sided tape (carpet tape or 3M UHB) or hot glue to secure the insert to the bottom of the tin.

Tins can be found in many different places here are some on Amazon that would work 4-oz round metal tins.
