D&D Battle Map Raiser Kit

D&D Battle Map Raiser Kit

thingiverse

This is a quick and simple modular kit of raisers/platforms that you can use in Dungeons and Dragons (or other tabletop games) to represent the element of altitude to creature/unit placement on a battle map. This kit is intended for square grid battle maps where 1 inch represents 5 feet of distance (1:60 scale). A base plate and top plate together total 1 inch (5 feet) of height. Each extender you place between them will be a multiple of 1 inch, allowing any multiple of 5 feet of in-game height. General Notes: I designed/orientated these pieces to be very easy for 3D printers to handle. As part of this, the top plates will print up-side-down (so they will appear visually similar to the base plates in the images). Technical notes: Measurements were done in metric, with 1 inch being defined as 2.54cm. The male part of each piece is 0.2mm narrower than the female fitting is to make pieces easier to slot together. Each supporting surface is ~3mm thick, so 20% infill is probably fine unless you have particularly heavy miniatures.
