So this will be my first upload, and I hope you'll bear with me since English isn't my native language. If you've noticed, the "Open Builds V-Slot Rails" show up in many printers. This is necessary for "Vslot Wheels," which allow parts to move smoothly. Those parts are quite expensive, even if they offer decent accuracy compared to linear rails. I live in Germany and can get my hands on "Vslot Profiles," but like I said, it's pricey. A 20x20 "normal" aluminum profile costs around 4€ per meter, while the 20x20 "Vslot Profiles" cost about 10€ per meter - that's double the price. The "Vslot Profiles" don't always come pre-cut to the length I need, even if I have a handsaw. I wouldn't even get close to the accuracy sellers can achieve with their cutting tools. If you're like me and don't have the right tools, building a printer with big print volume has to be cost-efficient and accurate. The money I saved from using this type of profile goes towards linear rails. And that's fine, since linear rails are way better than "Vslot wheels" in my opinion. So, these aluminum profiles are "I-Typ Slot 5" ones - they're pretty common in Germany. I got mine from https://www.dold-mechatronik.de/Aluminiumprofil-20x20-I-Typ-Nut-5/. This company even cuts the profiles to custom lengths, so I modified the parts from the original D-Bot post to fit those "normal" aluminum profiles. However, I would recommend buying B-Typ Slot 6 ones since you can easily find T-nuts for them at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/50Pcs-M3-M4-M5-M6-Slot-T-nut-Sliding-Nut-For-2020-Profile-Slot-6-Zinc/32824040676.html?spm=2114.search0104.8.5.223c4355Tlf7PI&priceBeautifyAB=0. Don't make the same mistake I did - finding T-nuts or square nuts for "I-Typ Slot 5" is a real challenge. That's why I recommend B-Typ slot 6 profiles. Please keep in mind that this isn't a guide; these files are just an alternative to Vslot, and you'll still need to figure out how to make the printer work. I take no responsibility if something goes wrong. So let's get started.
