D-Bot Mount for BIQU H2 Hotend/Extruder

D-Bot Mount for BIQU H2 Hotend/Extruder

prusaprinters

This is a mount, compatible with the stock print carriage on the D-Bot, for a BIQU H2 hotend and extruder. It also includes a side-mount for a BLTouch probe, and a mounting location for an Adafruit LIS3DH Triple-Axis Accelerometer. For printers that aren't using either, there's no issue leaving the mounting locations empty. Update: I realized, when using the accelerometer data, that the filament lever on the H2 was making contact with the M2.5 screws mounting the board to this part. Since transmitting noise from the stepper to the accelerometer pretty much negates the point of the accelerometer, I adjusted the design to move it upwards. If you're planning on using an accelerometer, I recommend the v16 version. If not, the V14 is fine. The fan mount in the photo is this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4722930 Its not a great design, as it blocks the filament gear, but its tight up against the extruder and does not stick out to the right or left. It'll slightly reduce the available Y size of the print bed, but not as much as side-mounted fans impact the X size. Print Settings Printer: D-Bot Rafts: No Supports: No Filament: n/a PETG Notes: As with any D-Bot parts, this should be printed in PETG, with a relatively high infill and 6 perimeters, to ensure rigidity. Its especially important with this as compared to a V6 hotend, as it weighs quite a bit more. Category: 3D Printer Extruders
