I wanted a Chimera mount that would grant easy access to adjustment set screws for adjusting nozzle height on my D-Bot. My solution was mounting the fan with its intake facing the Y extrusion and placing the Chimera's set screws at the front of the printer. This setup utilizes two 50mm radial blower fans for part cooling. I printed the fan gasket in TPE, opting for a solid plastic alternative may also work since the part is very thin, and I used ABS for the rest of the parts. The assembly relies on the standard D-Bot rear carriage. Print the fan shroud twice, one reversed for each side. Assembly requires some patience; I secured the fan to the carriage with 4 M3 x 14mm flat head screws. Next, I placed the fan gasket onto these screws and attached the Chimera to the carriage using 2 M3x20 and one M3x15 screws. The fan mount is then attached to the rear carriage on standoffs, followed by spacers between the mount and radial fan. Finally, I secured the fan using M3x30 screws and M3 nuts; the screw length for the mount was likely M3x20. I utilized a clone Chimera with Volcano blocks for this setup. Normal blocks should work as well, except that the fan shrouds might be too low due to the different design.
