D-Bot BLTouch Mount

D-Bot BLTouch Mount

I recently upgraded my D-Bot X carriage setup by replacing the stock 40mm fan mounted at the rear with an E3D shroud designed by DWONH. The shroud fits perfectly but requires some holes to be drilled so a ziptie can securely clamp it to the aluminum body. The BLTouch mount I created replaces the fan in the rear and is compatible with various hotend setups. It's centered behind the nozzle, resulting in a Y offset of around 20mm in Marlin firmware. I've added photos and fully calibrated the system using autobed leveling, and it works flawlessly. The shims are versatile and allow for easy adjustment without huge Z offsets, which can be unsettling. I'm confident this design will work with any E3D setup but welcome feedback or questions. Print settings: Printer: D-Bot Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 25% Notes: Printing one of each shim requires minimal filament and enables fine-tuning for the optimal BLTouch height.
