Ditching Spaulding's D-Bot Build Guide parts H and J from the May 2016 edition, I chose a setup that pairs a 40x20 mm V-Slot with a 20x20 piece at right angles. However, this decision came with a catch - the "2-2x1_Plate" component wouldn't work seamlessly in this new configuration. To sidestep this issue, I created a custom part in SW to replace the original 2x1 plate that links H and J to K. My design drew inspiration from the flanged concept seen in "Motor Mount Z".
