It's believed that by the second half of the 18th century, a major overhaul took place on the hemispherical dome, dividing it into eight identical sections: in the four closest to the naves, the Fathers of the Church and the dogma of the Immaculate are depicted, while in the remaining sectors, late Baroque Sevillian school floral decorations can be seen.
