Cézanne chess game

cults3d

Chess game composed of 3 basic shapes: the cone, the sphere and the cylinder, inspired by a quote from Paul Cézanne (see at the end of the description). Originally a magnetic game, a magnet fits in each piece "base" (cylinder at the base of each piece 7mm high), magnet 18mm diameter by 5mm high. If you want to re-create the base in order to put its magnet (bought at Castorama), count a cylinder of 18.5mm in diameter by 5mm high. The tray was made to be engraved with a laser cutter, it is 30cm in diameter; underneath was glued a metal plate so that each piece could fit on the game. Files: pieces by two (pawn+rook, bishop+knight, king+queen) board (circle 30cm diameter, square 28cm diagonal and 8x8 circular squares approx.25mm diameter each) pawn to be printed at will half set for good connections Preview of the game being printed in photo. Letter to Emile Bernard, April 15, 1904: "Allow me to repeat what I told you here: treat nature by the cylinder, the sphere, the cone, all put in perspective, that is, each side of an object, of a plane, points to a central point. The lines parallel to the horizon give the extent, that is to say, a section of nature or, if you like better, of the spectacle that the Pater Omnipotens Aeterne Deus spreads out before our eyes. The lines perpendicular to this horizon give depth. Now, nature, for us men, is more in depth than on the surface, hence the need to introduce into our vibrations of light, represented by the reds and yellows, a sufficient amount of bluish, to make the air feel. (...) Everything in nature is modeled after the cylinder, the sphere, the cone. One must learn to paint on these simple figures. Then you can do whatever you want".
