Czech Hedgehog
thingiverse
Iconic WW2 vehicle barrier, the Czech Hedgehog, in 1/8 scale model. Includes files for a larger size, along with Normandy and Atlantic versions. Instructions: Build three units each of legs and gussets. As ImpulsiveJames recommends, assemble one gusset per leg before assembly. Note carefully which holes are chosen; they must be only for that specific combination. Use a #2 center drill or 2mm drill to create hole openings prior to assembly. Attach components with 4d finishing nails. Cut 1.75mm filament about the length of your hand. Press one end of the filament into a rivet head using a flat tipped soldering iron on medium heat, making several light presses for best results. Secure only one end at this time. Pass the headed filament through the assembly until it is securely seated in its new position, then trim leaving 2mm exposed on the other side. Press the opposite end into a rivet head and repeat. Requires thirty rivets; the larger "beach" version requires sixty and features longer "legs".
