Czech Hedgehog 1/16th scale

This is a 1/16th scale "Czech Hedgehog". It was modeled at full scale in Solid Edge. The only deviation from scale was that the thickness of the angle iron was modeled at 0.5" thick instead of 0.375 inches thick so that the resultant scaled part would be thick enough to be somewhat durable. At full scale, the angle iron pieces are 6 feet long.Since it is a scale model, it is not going to be strong enough for RC Tank play - if you run it over with a tank it will almost certainly snap a leg off. This is more for accurate diorama display.I recommend printing it as it imports - as it would sit on the ground - so that no legs have the layers cut directly across the axis of the angle iron (this would make them even more prone to snapping). You will need to use supports (see picture). You can easily clean up any "fuzz" with a lighter.I also recommend printing on a raft. It is pretty much a necessity. If you have trouble with the legs not sticking to the raft due to the tiny contact point, use your software to chop a tiny bit off the bottom of all 3 legs with a cutting plane. Just a tiny bit will be enough to make the legs stay bonded to the raft.
