Czech airlift tube for aquarium

Never purchase PVC tubes again as long as you have filament on hand :-)\r\n\r\nFor an aquarium, the corner filter or Hamburger Mattenfilter is a simple and low-maintenance option. A mat is crossed by the "dirty" water, bacteria in the mat perform nitrification work. All you need is some type of pump. The principle of the czech airlift is also straightforward: you push air into a tube, air bubbles rise up in the tube, and force water with them.\r\n\r\nThis tube measures 200mm in height, 25mm in diameter. In the lower segment, there are 420 holes (1mm) through which the air is pushed in small bubbles. The pin is 4.2mm for connecting to an air pump. The top segment is cut at a 45° angle, and you must apply some heat after printing to bend the top segment and use it as a water outlet.\r\n\r\nA little support from the base is needed for the pin. Print in transparent PETG is my recommendation to reduce possible contamination. When printing with a brass nozzle (most common), water it down with some tap water first before placing into an aquarium, to reduce copper that may harm invertebrates.
