CZ 457 Single Shot Adapter
prusaprinters
My take on a single shot adapter for the 22LR CZ457.The main difference between this and other single shot adapter designs is the integrated spring on the front that lifts the bullet such that it enters the barrel chamber without contacting the outer edge of the chamber. The bottom of the bolt pushes the spring down when it closes to allow the wider rim to pass through.Manual post-processing may be required for this model. For smoother operation, file/sand down the top of the spring to remove layer lines and to add a small indent for the bullet to sit on (rev. A only). Tweaking of the spring height may also be required to ensure straighter feed of the cartridge into the chamber.Due to the compliant design with the front spring, this model will not work when printed with a brittle stiff material like PLA. PETG or Polycarbonate should work well.Update 9/20/2023: extended spring length and strengthened spring joint.Update 12/13/2023: the spring on rev. A broke after a few hundred rounds, so I made rev. B of the design, which splits the base and spring into separate parts. This should increase durability of the spring due to layer orientation, and allows for replacement and adjustment of the spring if/when it breaks without having to reprint the entire part. Manual seam painting is recommended.Update 12/30/2023: unlike rev. A, the spring in rev. B is in original condition even after 600+ rounds with no breakage or loss of flexibility.
