Cypriot Poppy Flask
sketchfab
The Ure Museum collection features a terracotta flask, dating back to around 1300-1100 BCE. This flask showcases its original shape and material, with a notable presence of plastic decoration on the body. The designs, depicting snake or poppy stems and buds, suggest a strong influence from Egyptian culture. Visible cracks mar the flask's surface, while the black slip has worn off over time, leaving behind visible fingerprint marks within the wash.
