Cymbal Quick Clamp

thingiverse

A fully functional printable quick cymbal clamp that drummers will love. If you're a drummer or work with drums and cymbals, you know exactly what this is. Designed from scratch to replace any 8mm screw cymbal nut (butterfly wing, etc.), it's a game-changer for your setup. Simply press the threaded mechanism to release, making adjustments a breeze. For the final assembly, you'll need: * 2x Allen Hex screws M3 x 10mm * 2x M3 nuts (preferably locking nuts, but regular ones will do) Pay close attention to printing guidelines, as every printer is different. The part consists of three distinct components: the housing (top and bottom), the button (with the thread), and the spring. The spring can be printed with TPU filament like Ninjaflex, but if you don't have that, you'll need a hard spring to replace it. **1. Housing** Print the top and bottom housing with PET-G or Nylon for optimal durability. You can use other hard-wearing materials, but these two are recommended due to their resistance to wear and cracking. **2. Button** The button carries the thread, making it essential to print with Nylon. This material is perfect for this application due to its strength and flexibility. **3. Spring** Use my printable spring or create your own compression method, such as actual springs. Print the small block with TPU filament like Ninjaflex for optimal elasticity. The pictures and video are self-explanatory, so take a look and get started on creating your own quick cymbal clamp!
