Cyma CM.030 Trigger Bar - Replacement part
thingiverse
Hello everyone,\r\n\r\nI'm convinced that I'm not alone in my experience: the Trigger Bar has snapped, the piece connecting the trigger tail and electrical switch. Although replacing it isn't expensive, I don't want to take a chance on it breaking again.\r\n\r\nSo, I initially recreated the part exactly as before but the plastic's flexibility made the section that had to press the electrical switch too flimsy and didn't quite push it through. To reinforce this part, I added ribs in the corners and slightly adjusted the space for the full-auto bracket. \r\n\r\nI drilled holes 2mm in diameter to mount pins and created a small fillet at the angle that will come into contact with the switch.\r\nIn semi-automatic mode, it's the impact of the small plastic tab coming out of the gearbox that lifts the full-auto trigger bar bracket, moving the bar over the switch and disabling the shot. Without this, you'd get a full-auto shot every time.\r\n\r\nI printed my part on an HP MultiJet Fusion 4200, so the quality is very accurate to 3D prints. I'm curious to see how it would look in FDM; if you've got any photos or comments, please share them!
