I'm reworking this remix in progress. I sliced the front section of the model into two distinct STL files, scaling the bottom segment by a massive 300%. Using Simplify 3D to optimize slicing for three processes that I've attached here, I produced impressive results. Uploading the other parts soon, once printed. Details are crystal clear with minimal post-processing required, so far limited to just filing and sharpening knives on some areas. The settings provided cater to Wanhao i3, yet they remain compatible for other printers when using layer info, fill data, or adjusting feed rates if needed. First print clocked in at nearly nine hours. My setup utilized the affordable Inland Silver PLA filament from Microcenter. Typically getting solid outcomes with most Inland filament options, but unfortunately experience more clogs compared to Hatchbox or higher-end products. However, it feels dry and somewhat brittle. Though you might struggle with frequent jams, it's an undeniably budget-friendly option. Work is ongoing for this remix in progress; personally don't appreciate the ultra-thin front fin configuration, making it prone to fragility when handled. Presently exploring an alternate approach - flat positioning on a tabletop. Thankfully, Simplify 3D has included features to ensure accurate alignment and a smooth printing surface.
