Cylon Head Helmet Car Emblem Badge Logo for Scion Toyota & Others Battlestar Galactica

I designed this custom badge for my 2012 Scion xB, but in theory it should fit any Scion model with the same dimensions, and Toyota badges are similar too, making them suitable for those models as well. Lexus and Mazda logos have similar dimensions, so they could also work. I've included an alternate circular version that should fit various vehicles with circular logos, including Acura, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Fiat, Holden, Lotus, MG, Nissan, Opel, Skoda, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, and Volvo. With some modifications, this design could be used for any vehicle. To make further adjustments, I've included the Cylon head without the ring, allowing you to customize it as needed. Please note that whether or not this works on your car is entirely up to you, and modifying your vehicle's badge can result in damage if done incorrectly. Before proceeding, I recommend getting accurate measurements for your specific vehicle, especially for a 2012 Scion xB. The files Head.stl and Circle.stl are necessary for other vehicles, but only Main.stl, Grille.stl, and Mount.stl are needed for the Scion xB. Main.stl is the main piece, while Grille.stl fits behind it, and Mount.stl goes behind that, specifically for the front badge. By default, Main.stl and Grille.stl should be sized to fit the rear badge, but measure your own vehicle to confirm. For the front badge, scale Main.stl to 140 mm on the X axis (around 116.67% of the original size) and bring the Y axis to about 95.6667 mm. Scale Grille.stl to the same percentage. Print these parts in PETG or ABS, not PLA. You can finish them as desired; I personally sanded, primed with filler spray, sanded some more, applied primer/filler again, and then spray-painted with clear coat. Automotive paints would be ideal, but regular outdoor spray paints should work too. You don't need to paint the back of any part, and that may affect adhesion if you do. I didn't paint the mount at all. To simulate the scanner effect on the front badge, use a thin strip of red reflective tape behind the eye area. You can also apply matte black vinyl over the mount part for the front badge with the mount backing. Cut out a bit of the vinyl from the middle and edges, leaving space for adhesion, and attach the parts together using JB Weld or your preferred glue. Finally, use double-sided automotive foam tape to attach the badges to your car. Removing existing badges will vary by vehicle, but on my 2012 Scion xB, I removed the rear badge with dental floss and unscrewed the front badge from its clip inside the hood. Let me know if you have any questions, and feel free to post pictures of your finished badges on social media!
