Cylindrical Battery Case

thingiverse

This is a customizable storage container for cylindrical batteries, designed with preset settings for multiple battery types. These presets include AAAA, AAA, AA, A, 18650, C, and D batteries. The attached .stl file enables printing of six rows by two columns of D-cell batteries, the maximum capacity that an Ender 3 can handle. By adjusting the print angle, it may be possible to fit more batteries within this space. A tolerance buffer is built into each battery's dimensions in both X and Y axes due to slight variations in size among different batteries. To determine this default size, several batteries were measured, with the largest one chosen as the standard. The provided .stl file was created using specific parameters: battery_type = 33.3; // Battery types, ranging from AAAA (8.3) to D (33.3) battery_height = 60.7; height_percentage = 50; number_of_rows = 6; number_of_columns = 2; inner_wall_thickness = 1; outer_wall_thickness = 2; bottom_thickness = 2; To adjust the snugness of fit, users can modify the tolerance setting, which is currently set at 0.5 units.
