Cyclone PCB Factory Vacuum Table
thingiverse
To create a vacuum table for my CNC machine, I sourced a design from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:49484). The table was printed in two parts and must be made of ABS to allow bonding via an ABS/acetone solution. Upon testing, I found that the o-ring cord (http://www.smallparts.com.au/store/item/orc00150n70/) fitted well without leaks or bending issues. Future modifications include designing an adapter for vacuum cleaner attachment and a disposable top part with a groove for added sealing. Printing is done using ReplicatorG and Sailfish on my Makerbot 2X, with ABS material, 25% infill, 0.25mm layer height, one shell, feedrate of 45mm/s, travel feedrate of 65mm/s, a heated build plate at 130°C, and print temperature set to 250°C.
