Cyclone Filter Mounting Flange
thingiverse
This is a mounting flange for Dronnn's well-designed cyclone vacuum filter design, which can be downloaded here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2829268. The flange is designed to fit inside your bucket lid or any other container you use, securing the bottom half of the cyclone filter with a firm clamp. The bolt holes are carefully sized to accommodate 1/4-20 English-sized bolts, but similar sizes should also work if you have a matching tap. No matter the size, make sure to print with extra walls to compensate for the tap cut - I used five walls that were 0.45mm wide. A V2 update was released on the same day as the initial design. After using my vacuum for a while, I encountered an issue where a stiff leaf got stuck at the bottom of the funnel. It became snagged in a small gap between the two flanges. To resolve this problem, I redesigned V2 with a hole that is 10mm larger in radius than the one in the bottom of the funnel - originally it had a 25mm radius. If you also cut the hole in your bucket lid larger, there will be no place left for debris to get snagged on as it passes through.
