Cyclone even bigger bottle/bucket
thingiverse
With all the time on my hands to use the CNC during the Corona lockdown, the Soda Stream bottle would fill up too quickly. I needed a bigger dust collector right away. Not wanting to reprint an entire new cyclone, I hacked together this cyclone-to-bucket adapter myself. The adapter gets screwed to the top of a bucket lid (any size will work) with self-tapping or drywall screws (M3 and about 8mm long). Once it's screwed in place, the base ring (used to strengthen the attachment) can be used as a template to cut out the hole with any cutter on hand such as a box cutter, Dremel, exacto knife, soldering iron, or other tool. I needed a bigger dust collector. A 2-liter bottle kept collapsing, so I remixed the bottom part of the cyclone (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1447214) to accept the older plastic Soda Stream 1L bottle instead. This adapter can be used with another one found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1953920, to accept a 500ml PET soda bottle as well. An STL file is included for completeness' sake.
