The Cyclone battery BC 259-(3 x 2) is a dry dust collection device used for trapping ash produced by burning solid fuels in steam and hot-water boilers with performance ranging from 2.5 to 15 t/h, as well as water-heating boilers with capacities of 3-11 or 63 MW. It is set up within the gas path of the exhauster. The BC-259-cyclone (3 x 2) battery comprises cyclones elements grouped under a single body, featuring a modular hopper, elbow, and gas supply. Components include steel tubular elements, cyclone boards, covers, and top panels, connecting flanges with gates, and bunkers. A safety valve is situated on the cover. The new cyclone's efficiency for particles larger than 50 microns is approximately 90%. However, the actual effect does not exceed 50%. Ash particles less than 20 microns are not trapped. The hydraulic resistance of a pure cyclone is 1200 PA, and there are six cyclones elements in total. The allowable gas temperature at the inlet is 400°C (752°F), and the performance of cleaned air or gas is 4,000 m3/h.
