Cyclone

Cyclone

thingiverse

This is a small cyclone project for working with my PROXXON machines. It will attempt to separate shavings so as not to clog the filters of my vacuum cleaner. I had to split the model into three parts in order to fit it in my printer. The principle of operation is evident from the figure. All components are glued together. There are holes for an M6 thread at the bottom. The cyclone is mounted on top of a bucket, where most of the shavings will be collected. The connecting dimension is 50 mm. I added a 50 mm cylindrical spacer and a confuser with a 20° angle and a large confuser with a 15° angle. I also added a 199 mm high confuser for those who have a printer working height of 200 mm. The ratio of the height of the cylindrical part to its diameter is strongly influenced by the work. Ideally, it should be 1.6, which is the golden ratio.
