This two units mechanism will let you count the distance traveled by your bike. It has a 100km resettable counter with a resolution of 10m. For 24 or 26 inches wheels. Compatible with most wheel hubs. Components: The first unit is the probe: gearA, jawA1, jawA2, big screw, arm and joint. The second unit is the counter: box, lid, wheel (x4), spring, handle, shaft, washers, small screw, gearB, gearC, gearD (x3), jawB1, jawB2,and joint. All parts except the shaft don't need supports. You will also need some 2mm screws and 5 steel shaft 2mm in diameter. A printable spring is given but a metal one is recommended. Use a wire to connect the two joints together. Notes: Three washers must go between gearB and the rightmost wheel. Depending on the tolerances others may be needed along the shafts. The hole (parallel to the lid) inside the central pillar of the box which support a screw, may require a very short screw to calibrate the end stop of the handle. GearA, GearB and small screw are available in two versions. Choose the 24 or the 26 version according to the diameter of your wheel (24 or 26 inches).
