Initially created in an anime style, the project was later revised to incorporate more realistic elements with PBR textures. The character's hair provides a clear indication of this shift. Work continues on a short animation clip featuring this character. Added animation on 16/11/2020. It's worth noting that the kanji 鬼 has two distinct pronunciations, Oni and Ki. The latter is commonly associated with Demon Slayer, a popular anime series. Similarly, 機 in 機械 is pronounced as Ki, meaning machine. Combining these elements results in 鬼械, a play on words that can be interpreted as Demon Machine. The character's design incorporates various Japanese cultural influences, including the mask, horns, and katana. While Japanese may not be my native language, I drew inspiration from its culture when creating this character. Additionally, I attempted to incorporate a pun in the name, which might not be successful due to my limited proficiency in Japanese and poor pun-crafting skills.
