This updated .stl file ensures optimal part placement and orientation for improved printing using Cura. The extruder is designed for a Cyborg 3D printer, featuring a 12mm shaft for excellent grip, with a pulling force of approximately 60 Newtons. It is compatible with E3D's 3mm Bowden version hotend. To assemble, you will require two 6001 bearings and one 608 bearing. A strength test demonstrated its ability to lift 5.5kg (12lbs) without slippage or step skipping, using a 0.5N/m NEMA17 stepper motor. View the performance in action at http://youtu.be/M3KoYmaYrjM. For your reference, the Bill of Materials includes: 2x 6001 bearings, 1x 608 bearing; smooth rods measuring 20mm long (8mm diameter for idler and 3mm diameter to connect idler and extruder body); a 70mm long, 12mm diameter stainless steel rod with M8 screw-tap teeth (30mm from one side, both ends have screw threads); two M12 self-locking nuts and two M3 self-locking nuts (regular ones are also possible); two M3 55mm long screws for pressure adjustment (M3 threaded rod with nuts is an alternative option); and finally, a standard NEMA17 stepper motor.
