Cybertruck Mirror Replacement Badge
prusaprinters
Removed the rearview mirror from my cybertruck. Even though its relatively clean by default, I got tired of staring at the hole left behind. I printed out the Badge and a Logo STL files, painted the cybertruck Logo print, then glued it to the hex base print. I used E6000 adhesive to attach it to the truck.I glued my first Logo on upside down, so it reads backwards. I corrected that and also made a larger logo to be more visible in the truck cab. This is my first draft, just printed it in PLA. Will see how it holds up in the truck over the summer.UPDATE:PLA didn't hold up very well and the lettering itself drooped really good starting at the edge of the badge. I partially dabbed those edges with some E6000, took a heatgun to them and put them back in place. This actually turned out really neat. It lets some of the edge droop around 1mm, really highlights the 3D effect of it. The only other thing I would change about what I did, I would dry brush it with a straight up silver or aluminum, or maybe edge it with that. The gunmetal color I chose turned out TOO grey, and not enough metallic.
