A cross slab rests at the Moybologue graveyard in Co. Cavan, Ireland. The inscription on the stone reads "Or Du Ulbrun". Some researchers believe it may be dedicated to an Anglo-Saxon woman named Wulfrun from the 10th or 11th century. Others think it could refer to Ulbran, meaning Beard-Ravan, or Albran, meaning Wall-Ravan. A third possibility is that the name is connected to Ailbran, Stone-Ravan, a name linked to Tréoit in 774 and Clúain Dolcáin in 781. It's been noted that Abbot Ailbran of Tréoit, about 50 kilometers from Moybologue, died in 774 AD. Researchers at Maynooth University have suggested these possibilities, with Prof David Stifter leading the effort. Martin Timoney first discovered an inscription on this stone, and Brian Callaghan later identified a longer one.
